Before I opened my online shop, I wanted to be sure that I was confident in my abilities to maintain inventory and manage my time well enough to take care of my family, run my blog, and not create a stressful environment in the process. As many of you know, life is stressful enough without creating your own unnecessary stresses!
I knew that my shop would not sell out overnight, though I wished that it would! I also knew that I would need to split my “blogging time” into pieces to allow time for the creative juices to flow. My day starts before the sun comes up, and ends long after it sets. I use the hours before The Boy and The Texan wake to work on my blog. I enjoy the time drinking my hot cup of coffee, and the hum of the local news in the background, while I read your blogs and write my own posts, too.
Once we enjoy breakfast and some family time, I head to my crafting area where I whip up the fun products available in my shop! It was so exciting to be able to open my shop and sell online. I love that I am a small business owner and I am still readily available to meet my family’s needs.
