I’ve been taking a photo every day for a very long time. It’s so much fun to look back on the memories you made – and to see how your children have grown!
One of my goals for 2015, is to make a conscious effort to use my big girl camera more often. We all know how easy it is to snap a quick picture using our phones and post it to Instagram. But, using an actual camera requires a bit more effort.
And I failed. I didn’t use my camera every day like I’d hoped. But I did take some fun ones on the days that I grabbed it. I’ve noticed that if I take the camera out of it’s camera coat and leave it where I can see it, I’m more apt to use it.
January always starts off rather quiet. We have a few days left of school vacation, it’s usually cold outside with no snow to play in so a lot of time is spent inside baking…and eating.
We noshed on cinnamon rolls,
and on delicious trail mix cookies.
We took selfies in the house
and in the car.
We got a little bit of snow {okay, a lot of snow! About two feet!}
and we played in it,
and played in it some more.
January days are gray and the sun sets early. But these fun mason jars remind me that Spring isn’t too far away!
For the month of February, I hope to take more black and white photos. Black and white photography is so beautiful. It captures the details so dramatically.
Do you have any photography goals for this year?

Beautiful shots! Yes, I want to do better about using my big girl camera more too for my photo a days– I did a few but the majority were definitely my phone. And yes you got a lot of snow!

I’m so jealous! The snow keeps passing us by…only 1-2 inches. Happy Friday 🙂
