Last night, The Texan, The Boy and I had the opportunity to attend the opening night of the DreamWorks How to Train Your Dragon Live Spectacular at the DCU Center in Worcester. Spectacular is an understatement.
This Dreamwork’s How to Train Your Dragon Live Spectacular follows the story of Hiccup, an adolescent Viking, who struggles to win the approval of his father while changing the world in which they live. Hiccup meets, and quickly befriends, a dragon called “Toothless” and helps him rather than kills him.
Produced by RZO Dragon Productions, there are 23 dragons that will delight even the youngest eyes – and some with wingspans of up to 46 feet! The Viking warriors and world-class circus artists and acrobats, performed against a state-of-the-art, wall-to-floor immersive projection measuring more than 20,000 square feet.
The dragons were all amazing!
The technology they used made each one appear “true to life”.
Watching them fly through the arena was breathtaking!
The tour continues in Worcester through July 15, then moves on to Washington, D.C. and 25 other cities! Tickets are available here and by using the promotional code MOM you can save 25% on weekday tickets (including Friday nights!). (This code is valid nationwide as tickets go on sale, although you may need to enter the code in the general promo box if there is no “mom” box!)
Disclosure: I received complimentary tickets to this event in exchange for publishing this post. The views and opinions are my own and have not been influenced by the sponsor. Your opinion and experience may vary.

Sounds like a great time! I can only imagine the delighted looks on the kids faces when they saw the dragons flying around!

This show looks AMAZING, and nowadays these types of shows seem to be fewer and farther between. I do want to say however; that my friend has been trying to purchase a couple VIP tickets to the show but Ticketmaster does not include pricing for these tickets. If they do in fact include pricing, it isn’t obvious to the customer. My friend spent 3 hours on the phone with TM yesterday and they weren’t able to give him any info on pricing. Needless to say, he wasn’t able to purchase VIP tickets :(. I am going to go take a look at regular ticket pricing now to see if I can make it to a show with my kiddos. Thank you for sharing your experience on such a wonderful show!

Emily,
I will for sure. My son turned 3 at the end of april and I think he would love it!!
I love your logo and title of this blog. If I had the same title, mine would say Nap Time is Blog Time. I just started blogging part time at Juicingpedia and absolutely love it.
…just read your bio or about me page. I can’t believe you moved in your 35th week of pregnancy. I just had a new baby boy and can’t imagine moving that late in pregnancy.
Sincerely,
~Heidi (Juicing Blogger @ Juicingpedia)
