The Texan and I love hosting friends when there is a television broadcast of a sporting event. Sometimes, we decide at last minute and that leaves me scrambling for game time meal ideas. On those days, I get a little help in the kitchen from DiGiorno pizza. Last weekend, we popped into our local Walmart to grab a few pizzas and found that DiGiorno pizza is available at a special rollback price of $4.50! I picked up two of the 4 Cheese pizzas because we have a lot of finicky eaters in our bunch – myself included. If you’re fortunate enough to hang with people who have adventurous tastes, DiGiorno Pizzas are also available in Rising Crust Pepperoni, Rising Crust Sausage, Rising Crust Supreme, or Three Meat.
A great thing about serving a frozen pizza is that I don’t have to take time away from our guests. I’m not kneading dough, making sauce, and shredding cheese. After popping the pizza into a preheated 450 degree oven, we can be eating in 20 minutes. Spending time with friends is far more important and fun than working away in the kitchen listening to all the cheers and excitement.
In New England, we are fortunate to have several sports teams to cheer on all year. While our favorite sport to watch is baseball, that doesn’t stop us from yelling at the television during hockey games! The Big Game is Sunday, February 2 – and despite the fact that The Texan’s favorite team was eliminated early on, we look forward to watching and entertaining friends.
Before the big game, be sure to visit your local Walmart and grab a few DiGiorno pizzas. You’ll love the time and money that you save! Go Team!

DiGiorno pizza is some of my favorite frozen pizza! It’s quick, easy and tasty! I may have to go grab some for next weekend – as i’m sure all the local pizza spots will be super busy!!

Good idea Heather! It’s more affordable too – especially with the roll back pricing!

That’s a great price! Pizza rivals sushi for my favorite food. You’re right; it’s a lot of work to make pizza yourself, and delivery/take-out can be really expensive. It makes more sense to just have several of these in the freezer!

DiGiorno pizzas are perfect for unexpected guests, and impromptu gatherings. At such a great price, now is a good time to stock up!

Pizza and football just seem to go together. And frozen pizza is so easy to make.
Emily says
I agree! And a delicious pizza makes it much easier to watch a game that your favorite team isn’t playing in!

I LOVE DiGiorno pizzas! They used to have one that came with Toll House cookie dough, it was amazing. Great tip, though! I don’t think I would have thought of that.
Emily says
Pizza and cookies together – brilliant! I’ll have to check to see if they still make those! YUM!
