Woo-hoo! Today we are sharing our workspace as part of the Small Business Month challenge with Three’s {4} Me. How fun. I am excited.
What my workspace is NOT is: CLEAN and WELL ORGANIZED. I am quite surprised, shocked to say the least, about what my workspace looks like. My workspace was The Texan’s office for the better part of two years. Now that he is not working from home as much, he longer needs an office. In June, I began cleaning out the space. We had a wildly successful yard sale and got rid of most of our junk unwanted items. Silly me, I sold the desk with no place to keep our desk stuff. Duh.
Anyhow, I set out with this great vision for what I wanted the space to look like. I purchased four of the Jetmax Modular storage units at Michaels – using coupons and taking advantage of sales, of course. And then I headed over to Home Depot – our local store is the smallest Home Depot in the chain and they RARELY have what you’re looking for – for some closet shelves that I would later transform into my work table. Lucky for me, that had two in stock. And they do make a lovely desk.
The room is a funny, pale apple green color which causes everything in the room to look dull. It’s horrible for photography, too. This winter I’d like to paint it something a bit more fresh and cheerful. Like many of you, I keep my ironing board open and full of fabric!
This is the cleanest my desktop has been in days! And it isn’t even clean. This shot shows some new headbands that are in the works. And a sneaky glimpse at a wristlet I’m working on, too.
One day I’ll have a grand workspace, but for now. My space is meeting my needs. Perhaps if I got to work organizing our “desk stuff” that has no home, I would be even more inspired to create….and show you the full view of the room!

Lol, I guess great minds think alike because that is exactly the tone of my post that I have scheduled this afternoon lol!
Those are great dreams to have!! One day small business success will pay off and those dream rooms will come true. I like your desktop and you seem to be well organized.
I’m so sorry for my late response!! Oh my gosh, wouldn’t you just die for one of those uber-organized rooms?? When would one find the time to do such a thing! One day, I say, one day!!
