If you’ve been stopping by the blog regularly, than you’re already aware that I love to share my week in photos from Instagram photos every Friday. It’s a great way to give you a little peak into my {super awesome} life and share my quirkiness too. (I’m @naptimeismytime on Instagram and would love you to follow me over there!) I link this post with the awesome InstaFriday series over at LifeRearranged. You should check that out too, lots of great photos and great ladies hanging out!
Before I share this week’s photos, I need to tell you about this AWESOME photo project that I stumbled upon a few days ago. It’s a photo a day project for an entire year (Project 365) and a weekly photo project (Project 52). How awesome, right? You can join in the fun at Click It Up a Notch. I was intimidated at first, but was assured that you do NOT have to be a professional photographer to join! YAY! There may be a few photo prompts, which you can follow along with or not, but the idea of the project is to really get you clicking. Put down the camera phone and get out the camera!
Ok, so, this is what went on around here this week:
You might recall from last week’s post, that The Boy had his nostril cauterized. He’s been having gushing nose bleeds for nearly two years; hopefully this will put an end to them. Seven days later, not a single nose bleed. Because of the procedure, we had to lay low on Friday. And Saturday. And Sunday. Easier said than done. Much easier.
I sent The Texan off to his rugby tournament on Friday night. No point in all of us being cooped up. I opened this on Friday night after The Boy went to bed. 5 out of 5 stars.
Sunday was the breaking point. The Texan was back from rugby; The Boy and I were going crazy hanging out on the couch. We headed to the pumpkin patch to get another pumpkin to carve. Our first one was carved too early and the swinging temperatures caused it to decay rapidly. It was super cute, you can see it in all it’s glory over here. On the way to the pumpkin patch, I got us lost. I like to take side streets and back roads to avoid traffic. It helps to know where you’re going.
If I hadn’t done that, we wouldn’t have found this.
And we wouldn’t have seen this.
Or this.
This truck was begging me to photograph it. It’s so mid-1900’s, don’t you think
We brought home some cranberries that I’ll make into cranberry sauce this weekend. Homemade cranberry sauce is the bomb.
Here’s the shot from the pumpkin patch to prove that I was eventually able to find it!
Nature gave us a reminder of the beauty that surrounds us.
We ate these.
We watch history in the making.
I made a Trick or Treat bag.
We saw and astronaut and a skeleton.
Oh yeah, and I almost had to push my car.
What are you doing with yours?
