Lately, I’ve had this peculiar obsession with Kansas City homes for sale. I simply cannot get it out of my mind.
The prices there are far more affordable than they are on Cape Cod. In our area, the mediam cost of a home is $350,000. And you don’t get a new home for that price, you get something built in the early 1960’s that needs a lot of work.
In Kansas City, the median price of a home is $119,500. HOLY COW! What a huge difference. I realize that Kansas City does not have the beautiful beaches that we have. There will be no salty air, no ocean sea breezes, and no freshly caught lobster or local oysters. But seriously folks, with the savings we could vacation on Cape Cod for the entire summer and enjoy all of those things.
I’m sure that I won’t be able to convince The Texan that we should move there. And, I’m not sure that I’d want to. I mean, what’s there besides the headquarters of Applebee’s and Hallmark? But the savings is mind boggling.
How are prices of homes in your area?

KC has malls, the Kansas Speedway, a wonderful arts district and so much more! I don’t live too far from there (about an hour from KC, KS.)
