Daylight is diminishing and temperatures are dropping on Cape Cod. A reminder that the long winter months are just around the corner. Many people wonder why – and how – we live here.
Cape Cod is a beautiful, iconic place. For the most part, people are friendly and neighborly. It is a wonderful place to raise children.
In the winter, it’s cold. Many businesses shut their doors until warmer weather arrives. People travel south and west in search of sunshine. Why do we stay?
We stay for the beaches.
We live where life is good.
Where do you live?

I have never been there before, but would love to go. Of course, I would probably do as others do and only go when there was warm weather. I grew up in Michigan where there was cold weather in the winter and I don’t want to have to deal with the cold weather anymore. I currently live in Georgia and it still gets cold here in the winter, but obviously not as cold as up north, and I still have a hard time dealing with that!! I’m such a baby!

I lived in Florida for 12 years – and every winter I say “why did we move here?!”
Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a great night!

I live near Boston and I can completely understand why you live in Cape Cod. It’s utterly beautiful. I love the landscape! I lived in CA for many years but Cape Cod has a very different special feel.
