Do you find it difficult to stick to your menu plan this time of year? I had a hard time last week. Mostly because I gave into the tasty creations from Thai Restaurant and the smell of the pizza shop was too much for me to fight. (Note: I cannot smell or see either of these restaurants from my home. However, if The Texan mentions either one, my mouth salivates and whatever I was planning to cook has gone out the window!)
I am happy to report that I did roast a full chicken in my swanky new crock-pot. Amazingly easy. Recipe coming soon. Promise.
On to what I’m planning to serve this week:
Monday: Chicken Pot Pie (using the remaining chicken from Saturday’s crock-pot bird)
Tuesday: Indoor-grilled Sausage and Pepper Sandwiches
Wednesday: Celebrations of the Season school event. Family dinner out!
Thursday: Turkey Tacos
Friday: Spicy Shrimp Stir-fry (skipped last week)
Saturday: Crock-pot Turkey Chili
Sunday: Oven-baked Chicken Fingers (skipped these last week, too!)
And, just a friendly reminder that I’m still on the hunt for recipes to prepare in my crock-pot. I don’t want to burn out on chili this winter!
