If you were wondering if it was fall yet, it is! Brrr! This morning, temperatures in our area were in the mid-30’s. Cool morning like this make me want to stay inside all day and drink hot tea while eating shortbread cookies. Thankfully, for my waist line, The Boy had school today so we were up and out early!
I’ve been thinking a lot about my menu planning, mostly the fact that we aren’t consistently sticking to it. And our reasons are lame. It is laziness. Pure laziness. This week, I am promising that we’re going to eat everything on this menu plan. We may not eat it the day I’m planning for, but it will be eaten!
Monday – Homemade pizza and caesar salads
Tuesday – The Florentine Lasagna Rolls that I made a few weeks ago were a huge hit. I am going to make a version of that using shells – and save a batch in the freezer to eat in a few weeks.
Wednesday – World Series Game 6. Must have game food for this one! So, Chicken Wings and Sweet Potato Fries are on the menu.
Thursday – Spooky Turkey Chili. I don’t know why I am calling it that, it’s going to be the same chili we usually eat!
Friday – Baked Chicken with Pumpkin Risotto
Saturday – College Football Saturday! That means easy Chicken Fajita Bake and maybe Artichoke and Spinach Dip to snack on!
Sunday – Turkey Ruebens. Yum. Ok, delicious. I love these sandwiches.
