It’s officially here, friends! We woke this morning to temps below 40. That means, it’s fall y’all! And this week’s menu plan is going to reflect the quick change in temperatures. Fall means the leaves are changing, pumpkins are being carved, and cranberries are being harvested.
They’re even more beautiful in person. I like to use local cranberries for making an easy cranberry sauce. It’s a nice hostess gift, especially this time of year.
While we won’t be noshing on any cranberry sauce this week, we’ll be having some delicious comfort foods made mostly from scratch.
Monday: Leftover Turkey Chili (I made the most delicious turkey chili yesterday; I’m thrilled there are leftovers!)
Tuesday: Oven-roasted Whole Chicken with diced potatoes and onions (Roasted potatoes and onions in the oven is one of my favorite side dishes!)
Wednesday: Homemade Chicken Pot Pie (Do you make your own crust? I’m not very good at it and find many of the pre-made crusts too sweet. Any recommendations for a great recipe or a good store bought?)
Thursday: Macaroni and Cheese with homemade chicken tenders
Friday: Homemade pizza
Saturday: soon-to-be-famous College Football Chicken Wings
Sunday: delicious Lasagna with salad and homemade bread
