How are you dealing with the adjustment to standard time? I really wish that I lived in Arizona so I wouldn’t have to deal with this nonsense. The sun will set here today at 4:32PM. My favorite meteorologist reminded me this morning that we’re losing daylight faster this month than any other time of year. Great news, right? No wonder bears hibernate.
The darker days and colder weather make me crave comfort foods. This week is no exception. We’re adding some great meals to this week’s menu plan! Be sure to read all the way through for a great way to use those Butterfinger Candy Bars from your kid’s Halloween stash.
Monday: Homemade Chicken Tenders with homemade macaroni and cheese
Tuesday: Turkey Tacos with black beans. I love tacos {and margaritas}. They’re quick and easy! And, everyone can customize them as their taste buds deem appropriate.
Wednesday: We’re going to see Annie The Musical in Boston; that means no cooking for me!
Thursday: Homemade Soup. Do you have a favorite soup? I’d love to try a new recipe this week!
Friday: Homemade pizza
Saturday: College Football Chicken Wings
Sunday: We’re celebrating a sweet girl’s first birthday with a late lunch. If we need to eat dinner, it will be leftovers.
About those butterfinger candy bars….
I made these Spooktacular Brownies last year and they were a big hit! If we The Boy got more Butterfingers this year, I would probably make them again.
What are you eating this week? Making any fun baked goods with your kid’s Halloween candy?
