How do you organize your linen closet?
When we moved into our house more than a year ago I had big plans for our linen closet. I wanted it to be well organized and well stocked. The well stocked part happened, but what to do with the items left me at a loss.
I found a few collapsable bins at an everything for one low price store and quickly packed them full with our goodies. I liked the polka dots and the color just fine; what I didn’t like was not being able to see inside the bins. The shelves are high and, since the bins aren’t translucent, height challenged individuals like me can’t see what is inside!
For the better part of a year, I’ve been dealing with this. Pulling down boxes in hopes to find what I am looking for. That’s no fun when you need toothpaste late at night, or a cotton ball in a pinch.
I decided to try to organize the linen closet with the Brother PTouch Label Maker. I worried about how the labels would adhere to the fabric bins. Pleasantly, I was surprised that they stuck! Our linen closet in located in the bathroom and I like to take burn-your-skin hot showers; the labels haven’t budged since I applied them.
It is such a great feeling to look into the linen closet and be able to quickly find what I am looking for! I plan to replace the bins with translucent bins in the the near future, but for now I love how our linen closet looks!
What are your tips to a well-organized linen closet?

Sadly, my tip for an organized linen closet is to throw everything in there throughout the month, and then get so frustrated when I can’t find something that I take it all back out and reorganize it at the end of the month… so that I can start throwing everything back in when the new month starts.
Now, my pantry is a different story. Bins and a good label maker have made all the difference in there.
