A few weeks ago, I wrote about Stonyfield non-GMO Greek yogurt and how you could enter to win a cup of your own. Today, I’m going to tell you how you can meet the fun folks from Stonyfield AND get a free cup of Stonyfield Greek Yogurt.
If you live in – or you’re visiting – the super awesome city of Boston, you’re in luck! On Tuesday, August 6 local organic yogurt maker Stonyfield will be giving away 10,000 FREE cups of delicious authentically strained Stonyfield Greek yogurt in its Stonyfield 10,000 Cup Greek Yogurt Trade Up.
Where in the city? Symbolically hosted at Boston’s Faneuil Hall on the Freedom Trail, the event is meant to encourage consumers to free themselves from GMOs, Genetically Modified Organisms, a rising concern for Americans.
Who’s going to be there? Stonyfield Co-founder and Chairman Gary Hirshberg will be on-site for interviews from 10AM-11AM. A full team of 50 Stonyfield employees will be handing out samples from 10AM-2PM. Cool, eh?
You’ll recall from my last post that a survey commissioned by Just Label It, found that 92% of Americans want to label genetically engineered foods (also called GMOs or genetically modified organisms). Currently, GMOs are not required to be labeled in the U.S. The best ways for American consumers to avoid foods made with GMOs is to eat items that carry the USDA Certified Organic seal or products that are verified through the Non-GMO Project.
What are your plans for Tuesday? I say, drop everything and head down to Faneuil Hall for some fun with the great folks from Stonyfield!
Disclosure: I wrote this post as part of my participation in the Stonyfield YoGetters group and NO compensation in the form of cash or product was received in exchange for this post. Regardless, all thoughts and opinions are my own and have not been influenced by Stonyfield or the Stonyfield YoGetters group. Your experience and opinions my differ.

Unfortunately we didn’t. Couldn’t get myself together to arrive on time. Boston is about 1 hour 15 minutes away from us. I’m sad to have missed it, but know that everyone had a blast!
