Chewing Gum: A Summer Beauty Kit Must Have

For the last few weeks, I’ve been wondering what it is about the summer that makes me want to kick off my shoes and have a party. Today, I realized that the beauty of Cape Cod really shines through in the summer months. The communities come alive, the water warms up, the salty air smells delicious, and the sun sets much later than it does in the winter. Aside from kicking off my shoes, I tend to eat more because we move more. And while I try to choose healthy items like tabbouleh salad sometimes I want to devour a dozen chocolate chip cookies. My solution to keep my fingers out of the cookie jar is to reach for chewing gum. The vibrant burst of sweet, fruity flavor gets my taste buds excited!

one thing is certain about summer: I do not like to be at home! Summer means go, go, go. Which suits me just fine, but in my rush to get out the door, I often leave behind essential summer beauty items. I’m putting an end to that today! I created a quick summer beauty on the go kit packed with my must haves: Juicy Fruit® Fruity Chews and Bubble Gum, deodorant, lip balm, bobby pins, small tube of sunscreen, facial tissues, bandages, cotton swabs, clear mascara (best invention EVER!) and mini nail files.

I found a clear plastic zipper container designed for holding toiletries that we’d purchased for The Texan when he was traveling to India. He doesn’t travel there any longer, so it seems like a good time for me to take it over! It would be a shame to let it sit unused.

I’m not sure why I bothered to put the chewing gum in the kit. It’s so delicious, I don’t think it will last to the end of the day!
