We had a wonderful time celebrating America’s birthday on Wednesday. And now it’s time to beginning planning some fun for the weekend.
The beaches on Cape Cod are beautiful, and we like to spend ass much time there as possible during the summer months. The bay beaches and ponds are perfect for young children. If you have older kids, or like surfing, hit some of the east facing ocean beaches.
Saturday would be a great day to send the guys to Bourne for a few hours of paintball fun at Cape Cod Paintball. The offer the paintball gun, mask, pod pack, unlimited air, and 200 paintballs all for one low price. While the guys are doing that, the ladies can head over to Monument Beach to Phinney’s Harbor Day to watch the silly boat parade at 2pm and enjoy food, drinks, and a silent auction.
Cape Cod has great seafood – and even better fishing! Join the crew of the Helen H for a two-hour bass and fluke fishing trip. No need to bring your own, everything is provided!
Once you’ve worked up a hearty appetite, head over to Dennisport and enjoy a relaxing meal on Nantucket Sound at the Sailing Cow Cafe. Excellent food, coupled with live entertainment and breathtaking views make this a must-visit restaurant during your vacation {or stay-cation!}.
On Sunday, head down to Truro for a tour of the Highland Light. Lighthouse tours are available daily from 10am to 5:30pm now through mid-October. There’s a gift shop where you can grab a cute magnet, or send a post card to a friend.
In Cotuit on Sunday, you can join the ThreeBays organization for an exciting 90-minute EcoAdventure tour the wonders of Barnstable’s waterways up-close.
Whatever you choose to do this weekend on Cape Cod, be safe and have fun!
