There are plenty of fun things going on around the Cape this weekend! If you’re here visiting, or live locally, be sure to check out some of these events.
The Artist Shanties at the Hyannis Harbor are open for the season. The shanties offer a unique setting to enjoy the works of many local Cape Cod artists. If you’re lucky enough, you may catch an artist at work! The shanties are open Saturday and Sunday from 11am – 5pm. (Later in the season they’ll be open daily.)
Have kids that love things with wheels? Head over to Mashpee Commons for the Touch a Truck event. The event will benefit the Housing Assistance Corporation of Cape Cod! The event is from 12:00pm – 2:00pm. Be sure to purchase a raffle ticket for your chance to win two tickets to a Red Sox versus Yankees game! (Proceeds from the raffle ticket sales benefit the HACCC.)
Head down to Chatham to celebrate the 300 year history of the town. The event will focus on reenacting events and daily life using period clothing, equipment, tools, and foods and encourage the town’s residents and visitors to experience our past.
I’ll be heading to Sandy Neck Beach Park today. This is our first trip out this season, here’s to sunny skies and no wind!

Sounds like so much fun! It’s a rainy weekend here so we’re doing a lot of inside activities. I sure wish we lived close to a beach!

It sounds like there’s a ton to do near you this weekend! We’re planning on staying close to the house and maybe trying to have some weekday fun this coming week.

There was so much to do here this weekend, Kelly! We spent the bulk of our time at the beach, it was so relaxing. My mom came with us and discovered that she can build sandcastles with tunnels. The Boy loved it. Let me know when you’re going to bring your family to visit! 🙂

I’ve never been to Cape Cod, so I can’t wait to see what else you post about it this summer!

It’s gorgeous here! We spend most of our time on the beach, but try to kick in a cultural thing or two along the way!
