We had a slow, quiet week. Everyone is still recovering from our great family staycation. Don’t you find it hard to adjust and get back to the grind?
There were a few fun times, like the day it was sunny and we went to the playground.
Even though it was a bright sunny day, we still need long sleeved shirts. Our weather has been more fall-like the last few days. I don’t think I like it.
When we came home, the weather was nice enough to sit outside. The Texan and The Boy tossed the rugby ball around.
And then they practiced the Pledge of Allegiance. I should have taken a video. Next time for sure.
The Texan and I decided to kick off Sunday with mimosas. It’s always fun to have mimosas. We should do it more often.
Sunday was also the second Love, Live, Local Festival and we couldn’t wait to head over!
When The Boy gets older, I wonder how much he’ll hate me for taking all of these cheesy photos!

And, we managed to squeeze in a date night, too. Isn’t the sunset beautiful?! I love late summer sunsets, even though they happen so early.
We made the tough choice to switch to a new-to-us preschool for this year. Part of the reason is that this school offers kindergarten through grade 5. A small class size is important to me, so I’m happy to have found this school. The Boy is super excited and cannot wait to start next week!
