Yesterday, we had our first glimpse of snow. It happened during breakfast. The Boy and I were sitting at the dining room table when I happened to look out the window and see it.
I counted seven flakes before I announced “It’s snowing!” The Boy was very excited. He’s been “waiting for it for a long time.” Keep in mind that he is three, and last winter he wore his snow boots twice. I’m sure that he doesn’t remember how cold it really is when it snows. Or how gross it looks after it is plowed, sanded, and salted.
The excitement on his face and in his voice brought joy to my heart. I wish I could capture that feeling and carry it with me often. Particularly for those days when the snow has turned brown and slushy.
How do you feel when snow begins to fall?

I dislike when the snow begins to fall. Getting snowed in, shoveling my car out of the snow, I am not too fond of 🙂

I’m jealous. We moved to the South because we were tired of dealing with snow, but now I miss it. The first snowfall is always so magical!

I don’t like dealing with the messy stage, but love to sit and watch it fall. Doesn’t look like we’ll be seeing any snow in the near future – our temperatures have been in the high 50s since Sunday afternoon.

I live in So Cal it doesn’t snow here. But I bet it is especially exciting for kids.
