I am so thrilled to have found Jeannett at Life Rearranged and her InstaFriday series. For some reason, I feel a sense of accountability and a want to share my photos with y’all now more than ever. Thanks, Jeannett for igniting the fire within me.
My mom arrived over the weekend – hooray! – and leaves this Sunday. It’s been wonderful having her around this week. I know that I’ll miss her when she’s gone. And the cheese that she brings. Have you ever tried Saint Andre? Oh. My. Gosh. It’s like Brie, only better.
So. Much. Better.
We enjoyed some refreshing beverages, like this homemade Raspberry Limeade
and this sort-of-local Harpoon beer that’s kept ultra cool in my Cabo Cado Koozie. I purchased mine at a local gallery, but you could buy one on line.
Is it weird that I have a Koozie and a bag that look the same?
We managed to accomplish a few things from our Summer Bucket List this week too. One of my favorites was Making S’mores. It’s really not summer without them!
We achieved a family milestone, too. The Boy turned four! I can’t believe how the years have flown. It’s true what they say – The Days are Long, but The Years are Short.
The started with delicious cinnamon rolls. Can you think of a better way to start a birthday celebration? I can’t!
On a lighter note, our Nicholas Xiarhos memorial flowers started to bloom.
And I received a gorgeous memorial hoop from Alyson at Vintage Sunshine. I can’t wait to present it to Nick’s dad at this year’s benefit ride. The ride is on Saturday and I’ll be tweeting and instagramming (is that the correct term?) using the hashtag #ngxride. Would love for you to follow along!
As you can see, our week was full of fun, reflection, and a bit of adventure. What’s most important is that we were creating memories and enjoying our time together.
How was your week? What memories did you create?
