Are you an instagrammer? If you aren’t, what are you waiting for?! I love, love, love it! (I’m @naptimeismytime, would love you to follow me over there!) If you love photographs too, or think you might want to try sharing your photos with others, you should check out the awesome InstaFriday series over at LifeRearranged. It’s a fun place to share your week in photos and take a look into the lives of others. So much fun to see what others are doing!!
We had a very busy week, things start to get busy once the holidays hit. While at Walmart earlier this month, they had their Christmas wrapping paper next to the Halloween candy. It appears that Halloween is now the official start of the holiday season. Mark my words, in a few years, the Christmas decor will be sitting next to the July 4th signs and banners.
Anyhow, we carved our pumpkin. And when I say “we”, I’m really talking about The Texan and The Boy. Sometimes, being the family photographer isn’t so bad! I wrote about it in my Pumpkin Masters sponsored post, go check it out. It was a fun time!
We also had a little pre-Halloween party and served the best brownies ever. Can you say Butterfinger? Yep, Butterfinger candies baked in a delicious brownie.
I had my annual physical this week, too. Have you had yours for 2013? Preventive health measures help you long term. If there is only one person in this world that you are honest with, that person should be your doctor. I’m going to brag about my blood pressure in case you missed it on Instagram. 98 over 62. That is not a typo. Awesome, eh?
Emily from Random Recycling posted an easy recipe for making your own pumpkin puree. Honestly, I feel a bit foolish for having purchased so much pumpkin puree over the years. This year, I’m going to make my own. Here’s the gorgeous pumpkin that I’ll be baking.
During one of several trips I made to Trader Joe’s this week, they FINALLY had popcorn back on the shelves. I wanted to buy all of the bags, but I limited myself to one. Do you make your popcorn on the stove, using an air popper or in the microwave?
We celebrated the Red Sox returning to the World Series. On Wednesday night, we had a few friends over for pizza, beer, and wine. As it stands now, the series is tied and they’re heading to Saint Louis. We won it there in 2004, I’m pulling for us to do it again this year!
The Boy had his nostril cauterized on Friday morning. I’m hoping we’ve found a solution to the gushing bloody noses. Staring down at him in the hospital recovery room made me so thankful that he is a healthy child. I couldn’t imagine this being my every day.
After he went to bed, I sat down with a delicious treat to write this post. Toby Keith would be proud.
What are you doing with yours?
Thanks for the shout out. Go Sox!
Oh I hope his nose bleeds stop after this! I am an avid instagrammer and will now find you
Super cool. Looks like you have a very busy week! 🙂 We’ve been busy too, we will probably have a game night this weekend.
I haven’t had my yearly physical for this year, I should make an appointment. I’m thankful that i’ve stayed healthy lately. I had my nephew yesterday (he’s 3) and my sister told me that he woke up in the middle of the night coughing/choking so she took him to the ER and he has croup. 🙁
Those brownies look amazing! Yum!
What a week! Those brownies look amazing!
They were delicious! In hindsight, I should have frozen some…in lieu of eating all of them!
