Santa and I could be best friends. Why?
I can often be found making a list and checking it twice. I am a pro at making lists.
Even though I love my iPhone and consider myself to be quite tech savvy, I prefer to write my list with paper and pen. Old school, eh? I use black ink because blue ink should only be used for signatures on official documents. I feel such a sense of accomplishment when I take my pen and make a straight line to indicate that I’ve completed a task.
I’ve been known to make a list of lists that I need to make. While I’m confessing my secret, I should tell you that sometimes I add things to the list that I have already completed just to cross it off. Please tell me that you do that too. I can’t be the only one, can I?
Do you consider yourself a pro at making lists, too?

I feel the same way about the old fashioned lists. I make all of my to-do lists with pen and paper. I love my smart phone but I don’t love how it keeps track of my to-do list. Paper and pen (or crayon sometime, just for crossing things off) is always my preferred method!

You are not alone! I add items to my To Do lists that are already done just to cross them off 🙂

Ha! Yes, I preload my lists too!
I have an entire notebook for lists: one side is home, the other is work. While I am also a techno junky, nothing beats the feeling of pen and paper as I check off what I get done. When the entire page is finished, I X out the whole page.
In some ways, it’s like a journal of my obsessions and projects.

I am a LIST maker as well. The old fashioned way of course. It seems as if I make ‘TO DO’ lists everyday and when those boxes get checked off, I feel so much better. I have apps on my phone to make ‘TO DO’ lists but it just doesn’t feel the same.

Here’s my new tip for my old fashioned hand-written lists – I snap a photo of them on my phone! I work from home once a week, so this way I don’t have to take my paper list back & forth on those days. Also great for those moments when I can’t fall asleep, trying to remember what I need to get done next!

I make lists on paper and on my phone. I also add already accomplished ones to my handwritten lists. I agree that it feels better to cross it off my list rather than delete it off my digital list!

I almost always have a to-do list on the fridge and sometimes I make another one for my purse if I have a lot to do that day. I make grocery lists too, or I will definitely forget to buy something. I do sometimes add stuff I’ve already done because seeing a lot of unchecked lines on my list can get discouraging.

I’m a list maker junky, too! I like to write my lists down with pen & paper also. I keep a stash of colorful pens & notebooks just for this. I have lists on my fridge, my computer desk, my night stand. I’m always making lists. Sometimes it feels good just to write on paper. 🙂

Too funny I never would have thought about adding something that was already completed to a list just to cross it off.

You should try it. The sense of accomplishment is amazing! 🙂

I know I should for this hundreds of times I will need to feel that I accomplished something.

” I add things to the list that I have already completed just to cross it off. Please tell me that you do that too. I can’t be the only one, can I?” Of course, sometimes your need a reminder of what you’ve already accomplished.

I make lists for everything. Within the last couple of months, I made a list of all the things I needed to do before a potential move. I then took that list and made an itemized list of what it would take to get each of those items done, including a preferred timeline done type of thing. So, I have several lists now to look at. It does help to separate the items into doable chunks. And, yes. I do add things to my lists that I completed just to cross it off. It also makes me feel good that I did accomplish something (as I probably would have forgotten that I did it) later in the day when I am lamenting that my list is not complete.
