Remember last week when I said that I reserved the right to change the meal plan? Well, I did. And for almost every day, too. Which led to one night of take out pizza. I need to stop caving and ordering take out. Not only is it bad for the waist line, it’s also bad for the wallet. So, no more take out pizza. I’m sure I’ll still make it at home, because how can you resist pizza and college football? Seriously.
According to local weather reports, we’re going to have more fall-like temperatures this week, which is good. I’m eager to switch to easier-to-prepare meals (read as: I’m eager to use my crock pot more!). I’m thinking of making the following meals this week:
Monday: Marlboro Man Sandwiches, PW Style {Yep, this recipe is from The Pioneer Woman. Although I’ll be subbing chicken for the steak, I’m quite sure that The Texan will enjoy tonight’s meal.}
Tuesday: Crock-pot Chicken Broccoli Alfredo
Wednesday: Leftovers
Thursday: Lasagna
Friday: The Texan will be off with his Rugby team, leaving The Boy and I to fend for ourselves. That means Breakfast for Dinner! I’m thinking pumpkin spice pancakes with real maple syrup.
Saturday: Crock-pot Chili or, just maybe, Frito Chili Pie?
Sunday: Leftovers or Pasta Dish
What are your favorite fall meals to prepare? Do you have a favorite crock-pot recipe to share?

Emily,
I put a crock pot recipe on the blog last week, I think. It’s called Peasant Stew. We loved it. The post is titled…”For those Pantless Nights in Carpool, Make Sure Peasant Stew is in the Crockpot.”

I’m bad about pizza too..I can’t help it!! 🙂
We’re trying crock pot lasagna for the first time this week! The chicken broccoli alfredo sounds yummy!!
I’d be interested in seeing how the crock pot lasagna turns out! I’ve never made lasagna that way.
I love my crockpot/slow cooker recipes! I use mine several times a week with our busy schedule! Hope you have a wonderful week!
Blessings

Ha! We just got pizza tonight. My husband and I both had business trips last week (well, mine was a blogging trip, but that still counts, right?) and neither of us wanted to go grocery shopping.
Pumpkin spice pancakes? YUM. Breakfast for dinner is always so fun.
