Last week flew by, as vacations often do. We enjoyed spending time with The Texan’s mom and dad. Did you follow along on Instagram? Yesterday they headed back to the heat and humidity of South Florida. And today, we struggle to put ourselves back into some kind of routine. Having a menu plan should help us get back on track a bit.
Monday – Rugby night and airport shuttle service! We had another YOYO night! (If you’re new around here that stands for: You’re On Your Own.)
Tuesday – Rotisserie Chicken with Zucchini and salad
Wednesday – Grilled Mahi Mahi and Broccoli Slaw
Thursday – YOYO – leftovers, breakfast for dinner, or sandwiches? Whatever sounds good gets eaten on YOYO nights. I lean towards cheese and crackers. The Boy generally chooses steel cut oatmeal or waffles.
Friday – Chicken Wings. I love chicken wings almost as much as I love pizza. Almost.
Saturday – Date night?
Sunday – Crock Pot Whole Chicken with veggies
What are some of your favorite family meals to prepare? With back to school just around the corner, I need to brush up on my culinary skills. The Texan does most of the cooking in the summer months. It’s nice for me to have a little time off, but I am {sort of} looking forward to the cooler days of fall and all things pumpkin.
I’m off to link up with I’m an Organizing Junkie, she hosts a wonderful Menu Plan Monday link up and there is always so much inspiration there!

it’s been a long time since I’ve crock-cooked a chicken, and that sounds soooooo good!! Thanks for the idea.

Hooray! I love to inspire others. And crocking a chicken is the easiest thing in the world to make, too! Enjoy yours.
