Happy Fall, Y’all! I love the fall, it’s such a beautiful time of year on Cape Cod. The leaves change colors, the mornings are cool yet the days heat up well. It’s a great time to add some fun meals to your menu plan too. Think Crock Pot, Soups, Stews, and easier weeknight meals using seasonal ingredients.
Last week, we deviated from our menu plan a few days, but in the process had some delicious fall meals. It was worth it. Now I wonder what I am going to do with the Mahi Mahi that is in the freezer! Here’s what’s cooking at our house this week:
Monday – Crab cakes with green beans
Tuesday – The Texan has rugby tonight, a little schedule switch as they had a match over the weekend and everyone needs a little rest. I plan to make something simple, like a roasted Chicken.
Wednesday – Chicken with an apple-mustard sauce. If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll know that we had this on Sunday. It was SO. GOOD. I think I’ll be making it a lot this fall. It’s quick and tasty.
On Thursday, I’m leaving for the Type A Parent Conference in Atlanta! I’m super excited about this adventure and can’t wait to connect with my travel partner, Isra who writes the blog The Frugalette. Woo-hoo! Will you be there?
While I’m gone, I am going to try not to stress about The Texan and The Boy eating dinner. I know that they’ll have fun meals together, probably a lot of indoor picnics and a few movie nights, too.
Come join me over at I’m an Organizing Junkie, for the awesome Menu Plan Monday link up and there is always so much inspiration there! If you’re new to menu planning, check out my easy menu planning tips!

Have fun at the Type A Parent conference later this week! Can’t wait to hear about your experience.
Thanks Meg! I am looking forward to it…nervous to leave my baby (yikes, he’s 4+, not really a baby!), but I’m sure my husband can handle it!
