Happy Memorial Day, Y’all! I hope everyone took a few minutes over this long weekend to remember those who sacrificed their lives for our freedom.
We’ve done a fairly good job at sticking with our menu plan each week. Over the weekend, we did order take out – mostly out of frustration with the weather. Memorial Day typically signals the start to summer, yet on Cape Cod we had to turn our heat on and didn’t see sunshine until 5pm on Sunday. Not a fun way to spend a May weekend. This week’s menu plan is full of fun, light summer meals as we’re crossing our fingers for some nicer weather.
Monday – Burgers on the grill {Angus for The Texan and Turkey for me} with cole slaw {I just finished making the cole slaw and it looks delicious. I cannot wait for dinner!}
Tuesday – Crab Cakes with mixed greens – skipped these last week.
Wednesday – Marinated Grilled Chicken breast
Thursday – YOYO {Rugby Nights are perfect nights to clean out the fridge. We typically have salad greens and cooked chicken breast that needs to be eaten. Do you have one night a week that “Your Own You’re Own” and everyone eats leftovers?}
Friday – Jamaican Grilled Chicken Wings
Saturday – Grilled Fish
Sunday – Steaks and fish on the grill
What’s cooking this week at your house? Any favorite grilling recipes?

YOYO night…love it! I call it “Fend for yourself night”, but this may be my new way of saying it.
I haven’t been menu planning, but really should again. I plan to use up stuff in freezer so I know some Turkey Smoked Sausage is on the menu, probably a breakfast night, and maybe chicken of some sort.

It sounds like you need to get back into menu planning! I love having breakfast for dinner, but The Texan isn’t a fan. Sometimes, on YOYO nights that is what I have.
