Here we are, staring at the edge fall. On my calendar, I see shades of oranges and browns. Out my window, I see hydrangeas that seem to want to live forever and children playing in short sleeved shirts. It’s hard to believe that we are forty weeks into 2013. The daylight is slipping away quickly on Cape Cod, and I have an overwhelming desire to cook comfort foods. This week’s menu plan has a few of them.
Monday – Chicken with an apple mustard sauce or with homemade pesto.
Tuesday – Leftovers or something made with ground turkey – Turkey Taco Tuesday?
Wednesday – Steak and fish on the grill.
Thursday – Chicken Pot Pie
Friday – Wings are temping, as is pizza.
Saturday – Dinner with friends!
Sunday – Turkey Reuben Bake. Sounds good, don’t you agree? I need to work on a recipe for this. I love reuben sandwiches, but they’re considerably time consuming for a sandwich. Baking them as a casserole would be much easier. Did I mention I hate the word casserole?

Tonight we had buffalo strips. From a bag. As for the rest of the week? Absolutely no clue!
Oh dear! It sounds like you could benefit from menu planning!
Nope. Just some of our favorites.
