GAH! I cannot believe that it is August already. The summer is flying by and I’m just now sitting down to work on my summer reading list for moms. Because we have four weeks until school starts, I still have plenty of time to catch up on my list. Right?
We’ve been so busy having fun this summer that it’s been a while since I’ve updated you with my reading choices! I shared a summer reading list for moms in June, since then, I’ve come across a few more great choices!
I love books. And now and then, I like to go back and re-read books that left an impression on me. There are many, but today, I’m sharing two must read books with you. Because they’re both quick reads, you can finish them both before Labor Day. Perfect for those days when your kiddos are back to school, the weather is gorgeous and you’re taking a few moments to R-E-L-A-X. [Do it. It’s good for you. It’s good for your kids. It’s good for your marriage.]
Like Suspense? You’ll love Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn. They may not have the perfect marriage, but after Amy goes missing, Nick becomes the number one suspect. Can he discover what happened before it’s too late?
Love Memoirs? I love memoirs. And Poser: My Life in Twenty-three Yoga Poses is one of my favorites! It’s not just about her yoga practice, but also about attachment-parenting, divorce, marriage, and moving out of your comfort zone.
In the summer months, I often choose books that are quick and don’t require me to think deeply about what the author is saying. In short, I like the fluff stuff in the summer. I’ll be back in a few weeks sharing my fall selections.
What have you been reading this summer?
good choices! 😉
