Ask Anna is making certain that everyone is going to have a clean home on April 16. Washing and waxing vents is on my list of favorite things – just below root canals, public restrooms and buffets. But, lucky for me, our house has NO VENTS!
I know, ya’ll are thinking that I’m making this up. I’m not. We have baseboard heating in our home – which means no vents and also means fabulous ceiling vents to push out AIR CONDITIONING in the summer months. {Yep. I have those tacky window air conditioning units in our bedrooms and one portable unit in the living room, which is just as tacky but doesn’t hang out for the world to see.}
At first, I was very excited that I wouldn’t be washing and waxing vents, even though Anna’s photos made it look like so much fun. Then, I was bummed out because I’ve been looking forward to cleaning and purging this week. Lucky for me, I’m {a} creative {thinker}. I have vents…in the car!
The photo doesn’t do justice to the amount of dust that was actually on the vent, but it was gross.
I wrapped a wipe around a pen to get into the cracks in the vent. I did all of the vents on the dashboard and the vents on the unit that is in the rear. Don’t want The Boy to be dusty! Here’s the finished product, again horrible photo but squeeky clean vents!
The Texan will be thrilled with this part of the Spring Cleaning with Ask Anna party because today I was driving HIS SUV! {Hmm….maybe a sparkling goody in my future? I really want need a new spatula for our cast iron skillet. Oh how our dreams sparkling goodies changes over time!}
