A few days ago, I was feeling crafty and whipped up this super cute upcycled vase from a half gallon milk carton! You can make one, too.
Supplies you’ll need:
One {empty} half gallon beverage container
One piece of 12 X 12 scrapbook paper {if you choose a paper that has a repeating design, you may want to use two pieces}
A Pencil
Mod Podge and brush
Something to cut with – I used a cutter, and a cool finger-tip straight edge thingy
Clear Gloss Spray Paint
Open the container from the top and cut the folded spout area off. You’ll be left with a long, open topped rectangle.
Lay the carton on top of the scrapbook paper and measure the four sides and the bottom. I used the container and traced, I didn’t actually use a ruler and measure.
Once your pieces are cut, apply Mod Podge to the carton, spread around with the brush and apply the paper. It’s best to do one side at a time, and save the base for last.
Once you’ve attached the four sides and the bottom, apply a thin coat of Mod Podge to the entire paper surface. Let dry 5 to 10 minutes. Spray with a light coat of clear gloss spray paint.
Pop in a bouquet of fresh cut flowers and you’re good to go!
This is my first ever craft tutorial, and I’m thrilled to share it with you! If you’re a new follower to my blog – thanks so much for stopping by! Be sure to check the sidebar for current easy-entry giveaways!
